The Mad Hatter

The Mad Hatter or also known as the “Antico Mulino” is an independent villa located along the provincial road SP49, precisely in the village of Vallepiana, one of the six hamlets of Pratosopralacroce. The location is ideal for a magical and unforgettable sojourn, thanks to the large wood-garden with a gazebo, table, chairs, deckchairs and barbecue, adjacent to a pretty stream with a small beach to cool off during the summer days.
In the garden there are also two large pools where goldfish swim and finally a private parking lot in front of the house will allow guests to have under control their car and unload their luggage without any hurry. All the surrounding space is reserved and exclusive to guests who decide to stay in the villa. With its 55m², The Mad Hatter has a spacious living room with double sofa bed, coffee table, table and chairs, a wonderful fireplace and television. The kitchen is equipped with crockery, fridge, freezer, oven and stove. The double bedroom, original and colorful, completes in the best way the picture of this little corner of paradise: composed of wardrobe, chest of drawers, old trunk and two bedside tables. The bathroom is equipped with shower, washing machine and hairdryer. All bed, bath and kitchen linen is provided free of charge including breakfast food (also vegan products) and for children there is a camping bed (on request). The apartment has a heating system (pellet stove) and a fireplace that you can use (only on request with an extra charge).
Last but not least is the old water mill located on the ground floor that was used by farmers to grind chestnuts. In the past, the mill was one of the most important in the village because most of the chestnut flour was ground by the brothers “Stallun” who, as well as for themselves, also grinded for the farmers of the village and as a “reward” was left a quantity of flour called “moe-tua”. Next to the Cappellaio Matto house there is another house where once there were 4 other mills (3 in operation and 1 reserve) in which the brothers grinded wheat, Turkish wheat and barley. Today the 4 wheels are still visible and have become the wall of the house and you can visit the old mill in all its beauty.

The Queen of Hearts

The Queen of Hearts apartment is located in the ancient and characteristic village of Zanoni, one of the six hamlets of Pratosopralacroce.
The accommodation is semi-independent and is located on the ground floor (reachable only by stairs, where on the second floor is the White Rabbit) of a private house built around 1850 and then renovated over the years, but maintaining the architectural characteristics of the period and the original unique atmosphere of ancient times. Each space has been treated and studied in detail to create a contrast between rustic and modern. In fact it is possible to find from the built-in wardrobes made in conjunction with the construction of the house and typical of the homes of that era, to the tools and utensils that were used in the kitchen and in farm work. With its 90m² it has a spacious kitchen including tableware, table, dresser, kitchen with oven, gas stove, refrigerator with freezer and an old wood stove “La Germania”. Two spacious double bedrooms located on the original flooring of the past dated 1850. The apartment also has a large living room that allows guests to relax and make the most of the house in its potential thanks to the large and antique dining table, a 5-seater bench and chairs, a double sofa bed, an armchair and the television. The bathroom has a shower, washing machine and hairdryer. All bathroom, bed and kitchen linen is provided free of charge including breakfast foods (also vegan products on request) and for the little ones a camping cot is available (on request).
The apartment has a heating system (pellet stove) for the winter. In order to guarantee all guests a stay in direct contact with nature, the Queen of Hearts apartment also has a private outdoor area with gates, ideal for those with children who have a large sun terrace with sun loungers. barbecue and an open house with wooden table, chairs and a nice sofa to relax.
The entire area is equipped with external lighting in order to exploit the garden to its full potential.
